[From the 209th episode of the Tamil series]

They say that Veerabadhra seen in temples himself is Angaraka. Veerabadhra’s birthday is on a Tuesday. He is from the Bharadhwaja Gothra, the king of Avanthi. With four hands wielding Vel, Shoola, Gatka and Gadhayudha.

He wears a garment flame-red in color, reddish flower and coral is his gem. He revolves around Mount Meru in a chariot pulled by eight reddish goats. To get his grace, one should pray to Lord Muruga and Booma Devi (Mother Earth) everyday, by doing a circumambulation.

His dwells in the southern side of Surya, in the southern side of the Trikona Mandala as per the puranas.

When Lord Shiva in his yogic state left out drops of sweat from His forehead, it fell on Earth and later transformed to a male child. Goddess Booma Devi raised the child. Being the brother of Lord Muruga, this child Angaraka or Sevvaai is considered an ‘Amsa’ of Lord Muruga himself, says a Purana.

There is another story. Bharadhwaja Maharishi saw a beautiful girl in the banks of a river, fell in love with her where no efforts were strong enough to control his emotions for her. The ‘Rethas’ from his body fell down which got transformed in to a male child, which was raised by Booma Devi by naming him Bhauman. He did severe penance to the Almighty which earned him the status of being one of the Grahas, with the name Angaraka.

The Linga Purana talks differently on his birth. Agni and Vikesi were close to each other where Vikesi gave birth to a male child. As the child had the attributes of Agni, they named him Angaraka.

Daksha performed a yagna. Veerabadhra wanted to show that he can perform even greater and began to do a Maha Yagna, which terrified the world. They begged Veerabadhra not to proceed with this yagna. He changed his appearance from a horrific form to a beautiful one and got the fame that he is ‘Meritorious manifold than Daksha’. This, the Macha Purana says as the history of Angaraka’s birth.

Sevvaai (Angaraka) has 5 faces. Ushna, Asrumuka, Vala, Rudraanna, Nisthrimsam. Some scriptures say that he is seated in a Mesha vahana and some say he is seated in Simma vahana (lion). His flag is reddish with a Goat’s emblem on it. He has a neatly formed hair. He does not do anything without his wife. The athi-devata for Angaraka is Pruthvi. Prathyathi Devata is the Kshetra Palaka. They both occupy the right and left side of Angaraka.

Lokithangan, Rakthaya DeshaNan, Raktha Varnan are some of the names by which he is called. As the wielder of Vel, he is Shakthi Dharan, as he is handsome, Kumaran, as he does auspiciousness, Mangalan, as the bestower of wealth, Dhanapradhan, as the wearer of golden ear rings, Hemakundali.

Gunahartha, Rogakruth, Roganashana, Vidhyuthparapani, VraNakaran, Kamathan, Dhanahruthi, Samagana priya, Raktha vasthra, Graha Nayaka, Sarva Dharmava Bodhaka are some of the subtle names by which Angaraka / Sevvaai is called with. Even the Romans worshiped Angaraka as their war-god. There are temples for Angaraka in Rome even today.

In TamilNadu, there are three famous temples for Angaraka.

Thiruchirukudi – near Mayavaram, 7 kilometers from the Peralam railway station.

Vaideeshwaran Kovil – From Mayavaram en route to Chidambaram.

Thiru Avinan Kudi – the temple which is near Pazhani, one of the six battle-houses of Lord Muruga is another best Angaraka Parihara Sthala.

The same place which is a parihara sthala for Sevvaai and Budha and the one which destroys any Rahu Kethu dosha is “Kotakanallur”. Jyotish Shashtra gives the number 9 for Angaraka, which is a complete number by itself. It denotes a state of attaining a Maha Shakthi.

The Vedas mention about Angaraka as the one who is born from the womb of Booma Devi, the one with a radiance of a lightning, handsome, the wielder of Shakthi weapon. He is the embodiment of mental and physical strength. Those who are politicians, police officers, lieutenants, judges, engineers and the likewise will have the grace of Angaraka for sure. Those who involve in revolutions will have his grace as well. Being strict, leadership, vairagya, the power to thrash the enemies are bestowed by Angaraka.

He is the source of blood. He is the ‘Karaka’ of blood-related brothers. He is the mesh inside our bones. He is the ‘Karaka’ of the Earth. Anger, Political science, Fuel, Copper, Naga,  Nagasubramanian are Angaraka himself. The wielder of weapon, the royal one, reddish one, the one with a fierce glance, the one who gets pleased with bragging, the one without patience, the one who likes hunting, the one with audacity is Angaraka himself. His gem is coral. He is the owner of fire. Male. The lord of Southern direction.

Guru (Vyazhan, Surya, Chandra are his friends). Budha is his enemy. Mesha and Vrishchika are his own house as per Jyotish Shashtra. Kataka is a Neecha house, Makara is Uchcha house. The enemy houses are Makara and Kanni. Simmam, Dhanush and Meenam are friendly houses. He is the lord Mrugaseerisha, Chithirai and Avitta stars.

When one prays to Veerabadhra Swami on the first Tuesdays of Chitra month, they get the grace of Angaraka as well. To get cured of diseases, to buy land or a property, one needs the grace of Angaraka. When one starts consuming medicines on a Tuesday for any disease, they get cured faster.

Veera Dhwajaya Vidhmahe Vigna Hasthaya Dheemahi
Thanno Bhauma Prachothayaath

When one chants the above Gayatri of Angaraka for 27 times in the morning and evening, it is true that they won’t be affected by any disease.

The GOS 193 – Nava Grahas – Chandra

Chandra gets the light from Surya which reflects on earth. Hence is called Thankathiresan (Tamil: Than – cold, Kathir – rays, Esan – Eshwara or Lord, the lord of cold rays)

His appearance is whitish as milk. He wears white garments, white flower, white pearl necklace. He rides on a chariot driven by 10 white horses under a white umbrella and revolves around mount Meru as per the Vedas.

The Athi-Devata for Chandra is Varuna. Prathyathi Devata is Gauri. There are other demi-devatas as well. There is a gemstone called Chandrakanta. When the rays of Chandra falls on it, water oozes out. He appeared when the ocean was churned (Parkadal). He is considered to be having the ‘Amsa’ of Devi. Also, Chandra is feminine in his characteristics.

He nurtures the cows, milk, medicines and medicinal plants, flowers, curd, alcoholic substances, fame etc., When he goes closer to Surya, it becomes Amavasya and when goes away from Surya, he is Pournami (full moon).

The Vedas praise him as the brother of Goddess Lakshmi as he appeared with her in the ocean when it was churned. He has the blessing of being right at the head of Lord Maheshwara and Goddess Ambika (Parvathi). Athri Maharishi raised him.

As the grace of Guru fell on him, he was given the command over medicinal herbs. The Jyotisha Shashtra says that he rules over the number 2.

Shathapatha Bramana when mentioning about Chandra says that Soma (Chandra) was brought to the earth through the grace of Gayatri Devi. The kind Soma was a friend of a Gandarva. Since the Gandarva had this king as the friend, the Muni’s and Devas were scared. Therefore they lured the Gandarva with a girl, got him separated from the king Soma and kept him with themselves, says Aithareya.

They say that Chandra is the left eye of Lord Shiva.

In Thaitheerya, Prajapathi had 33 daughters whom he got married to Soma out of which, Soma fell in love more with Rohini and he ignored the others. The other daughters complained this to their father who got irked. Due to his anger, Soma became weak and lost his radiance. He then sought Surya’s help who made him strong again.

Another story says that Soma performed the Raja Sooya Yagna when he had the command over  all the medicinal plants where Daksha-Prajapathi got his 27 daughters married to him but he loved none other than Rohini. He then got cursed by Daksha Prajapathi where his radiance began to wade. Then Lord Shiva blessed him out of His mercy that he will wade for 15 days and grow again in the next 15 days. Hence we have 15 days of waning moon and 15 days of waxing moon.

One of Chandra’s wife is Swati, who shines as a star. On a Swati day, when a fish family shell opens up its mouth and if a rain drop falls on it, it becomes the pearl (this is probably mentioned as an illustration to denote a spiritual truth as the modern science clarifies us on how the pearl is formed).

But why is there so many wives for Chandra? He attained a great siddhi in Dyana Yoga when he was the disciple of Bruhaspathi Guru. Thereby he has this spell where any girl who looks at Chandra will fall in love with him and hence these many wives. They illustrate Chandra as feminine in nature where Surya is remarked as a Purusha (masculine) form. He is liked by the Boomi Mata (Earth) and hence they have a magnetic attraction.

Chandra’s rays is absolutely required for the plant kingdom. The feeling of love depends on Chandra. His rays are required for the vapour to be formed in the ocean.

The one who worships the Crescent moon will have a longer life span.

There is a divine circular radiance around Chandra’s head. He wears various ornaments, wears
rose-water flower, white garments. He carries Kumudha in his two hands with a golden thread in his holy chest.

Sri Rama was born in the Surya Kula. The Pandavas were born in Chandra Kula.

He is the reason for the human body’s strength. For one to get a good sea-route travel, his horoscope should have good Chandra aspect. There is no enemy-graha other than Rahu and Kethu. When he joins with Guru and Shukra or when he is given a look of auspiciousness, the person with that horoscope will become very lucky.

The peak-house for Chandra is Rishaba. Kataka is the own house. He becomes Neecha in Vrischika.

Chandra is the lord of Rohini, Hastha and Thiruvonam stars. Pearl belongs to him in Nava Rathnas. His taste is salty. He is very gentle in characteristics, he owns the North-western direction. Generally he is a Shuba Graha.

To get a good night’s sleep or to get awards from the Government, one should Chandra in a good house in their horoscope. He is the lord of many gentle things like Love, Poetry, Softness, Pleasure, Heart etc.,

Lord Brahma has appointed Chandra who himself is the other eye of the Lord Almighty to be the lord of herbs. He is one of the Parivara Devata in the temples, he rides in a chariot of two wheels, seated in a square pedestal. It is said that he appeared in the Somavara (Monday) on a Krithika month.

Padmathvajaya Vidhmahe Hemaa Roopaya Dheemahi
Thanno Soma Prachothayath!

The above Gayatri of Chandra when chanted 27 times in the morning can bestow a lot of luck.

The GOS 192 – Nava Grahas – Surya!

[From the 206th & 207th episode of the Tamil series]

When Agastya Maha Muni appears in Nadi to guide people, he frequently mentions about Navagrahas, with pride. The best part in all the information is that all the grahas are performing their duties given by God without a glitch. Yes! It’s not good enough that one has taken birth as human, but they have to think right, act as per dharma, the Navagrahas only bless them and never troubles them, He says!

Let us see a few things about such grahas where obviously it’s Surya the first in this post.

In this wonderful earth, Surya appears as the pratyaksha God (the God one can see with their naked eye) and eradicates grief. The Veda-Purana-Ithihasa sing Surya’s praise in many ways. The foremost of the Vedas, The Rig Veda says that there are three different types of Agni and Surya is the foremost form of Agni.

Surya has 7 names, which represents something.

1. As He destroys darkness, “Savita”
2. As He makes the light rays fall throughout the world, “Bhaga”
3. Also through the light, He bestows energy and life to earth, hence “Bhusha”
4. As He measures the sky, earth and Pataala loka with this rays, “Vishnu”
5. As His rays spread like a long hair, “Keshi”
6. As He appears as the Pratyaksha God in front of everyone, who is praised by everyone, “Vaishvanara”
7. As the reddish flames of rays spread through which gives a very active morning, “Vrushakapi”

The belief is that Surya’s wives are Usha, before the sunrise, Suryaa Devi during the day and during evening or Sandhya, it’s Vrushaak bayi respectively.

1. The Rig Veda clearly affirms that the only God who can be seen with the naked eye is Surya Himself. One may forget anyone but should never forget worshipping Surya Deva. If one forgets this, he doesn’t attain Moksha.

2. The Yajur Veda says, “You are the one who illumines the world. There is no defeat for you. You are a Mahan, Aditya, There is no one who is equal to you in this world”

3. The Sama Veda says, “You have the power (Maha Shakthi) to cure diseases. May you drive away grief! May you drive away enmity! O, you may save us!” – similar verses are repeated many times.

Every mantra has a Moola Mantra. The Mother of all Moola Mantra is Gayatri Devi. The Lord of Gayatri Devi’s mantra is none other than Surya (hence it is also called as Surya Gayatri, the most common form of Gayatri mantra recited everywhere). One may know the supremacy of Surya Deva thus.

Surya was born to Kashyapa Muni and Aditi Devi. The Vedic Bharath puts the womanhood as primary and hence the Surya Deva, son of Aditi is called Aditya.

There is a saying that there were 12 different sons for Aditi and Kashyapa Muni and they appeared in 12 different forms. They owned each Rashi and hence there are 12 Aditya’s who bless us. The eldest Aditya is Surya Deva.

It was Surya and Chandra who notified Mohini when Rahu and Kethu were trying to get the Amruth. Rahu wanted to take revenge on Surya, caught him at the right time and swallowed him, resulting in the world plunging in darkness.

Surya felt sad that none of the Devas came for his help when he was only trying to help them. Eventually when Rahu left Surya, He was frustrated and said that His heat will destroy the world and no devas can do anything about it. The world wasn’t able to bear the heat when He was disappeared. Now when He appears with His full might, the Devas worried. They surrendered to Brahma Deva who said, “Do not worry. It’s night. When Surya appears with His full might, there will be a son, a flower like one, who will bear all the heat of Surya. His name is Aruna, born to Kashyapa Muni and Aditi, who is also called Vinata. He is very powerful, He has the Amsa of Lord Shiva Himself!”

When Surya appeared, Aruna sat right in front of Surya and absorbed all the heat, disappeared. Some think that Aruna from that day appears as Surya and protects the world.

The Markandeya Purana when mentioning about Surya says that when Lord Brahma held the dark universe, the sound ‘Om’ came out, which eventually turned as a reddish ray of light and from that ray, the circular shaped Surya appeared.

The Brahma Purana says that it is Lord Shiva whose light radiates as the Surya Mandala and hence Surya is referred to be His right eye.

Surya has two famous temples. The Konark temple in Orissa and one in Tamil Nadu, Aduthurai. There are many other exclusive Surya temples in Thirukandiyur Veerattam, Thirupuravaar, Panangaatoor etc.

Surya can be worshipped by looking straight at Him, can be invoked in to a Yantra, can be drawn as a picture in the land, they also worship Him as one of the Parivara Devata of Lord Shiva’s temples. He is most commonly worshipped as the center of the other planets. In Tamil Nadu, they worship Surya during Makara Sankranti (Thai Matham) by writing on the bare land. The harvesting festival in many parts of the world is actually a ‘Thanksgiving’ ritual to Lord Surya.

The Jyotish Shashtra attributes Surya to the following. It says that Surya looks like the hibiscus flower, son of Kashyapa, the one with a very bright radiance, the enemy of darkness, who destroys every other sins, the representative of the holy trinity Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara. The one who moves all the time, the lord of the Navagrahas, He is the Gayatri in Veda mantras, He is the reason for self-control, self-consciousness, influence, prestige, power, bravery, performance, bodily pleasures, good conduct, eyes, heat, light, help from those in power etc. He is the Pithru-Karaka, he is of the Satvic nature, darkish red is His color. A male graha!

The own house of Surya is Simmam (the lion). The peak house is Mesha. The lower house is Thulam. Rishaba, Makara and Kumba are enemy-houses. Surya’s friends are Chandra, Sevvai and Guru.

He is the Lord of the stars Krithika, Utharam and Utharadam. Surya travels in a chariot of single wheel, with 7 horses, which are the 7 Sandhaa’s of the Vedas.

The flower for Surya is – red lotus
The Samithu for Surya is – Erukku
The grain for Surya – wheat
The vehicle of Surya – chariot, peacock
The Athi-devata of Surya – Lord Shiva
The gemstone of Surya – Ruby
The metal for Surya – Tambac, a kind of copper and zinc alloy
The color of Surya – red
The Avatara of Surya – Sri Rama

Agastya Muni created Aditya Hrudayam and did Upadesha to Sri Rama to obtain power from Surya Deva to win the battle.

The one who recites Aditya Hrudayam in the mornings during sunrise, his face will glow with Tejas. Evil influence (affliction) disappears. Destitution (or poverty) goes away, they get what they want. Their parents will live happily. There won’t be any tension. Auspiciousness happens.

When a person came for Nadi reading, Agastya Muni recommended him to recite Aditya Hrudayam at all times. He asked if he can recite it at any times since he has been told that Adiya Hrudayam needs to be recited only in the mornings and not after sunset or after noon.

Agastya said, “You are asking myself! One can recite this at any time, when walking, traveling, while sitting, any time!”

One may find it a little difficult to by-heart it initially. But it is not true. If one prays to Agastya and tries, it gets in to your heart very easily. Then whenever you visit any temple, sit on the Esana corner (north-east), north or east direction and when recited at least thrice, one can find that their prayers are becoming fruitful faster. Above all, it protects the one who chants it, wherever they go.

How Aditya Hrudayam was formed?
Agastya Muni began to worry about the world. He thought, “even now when unrighteousness dances so much, how will the future be?” and he thought of finding a way out. It is the feminine force who takes action when there is unrighteousness and He naturally approached the Maha Shakthi Parashakthi and expressed his worries.

The divine Mother said that Aditya Hrudayam will provide a good heart, strong mind, power and energy. Agastya was waiting for the sloka to be given to the right person for a long time.

When Sri Ramachandra was fighting Ravana, He was exhausted since Ravana wasn’t getting defeated. Though the Lord Almighty, He played by the rules of the humans, felt tired and exhausted but He knew that a guru might help a way out, so He prayed to Agastya. Agastya Muni appeared before Sri Rama and said, “Parashakthi did the upadesha of Aditya Hrudaya to me for the welfare of the world. Let me give you the upadesha of Aditya Hrudaya. When you recite this mantra, you will be bestowed with all the auspiciousness and the power to destroy any evil!”

Agastya says, “O the heir of Ragu Kula! When one praises Lord Surya with Aditya Hrudaya, he is saved when in trouble, when he is afraid, and is not troubled at any difficult times. When one focuses his mind and recites this slokha, which is of Surya Deva who is praised by even the Gods, at least three times with sincerity, he gets victory in any battlefield. Then the one with perfect control over his senses, the one with broad shoulders and heart, the one with unmatched valour Sri Rama, chanted the Aditya Hrudaya and got refreshed, re-energized and defeated Ravana. When one recites the Aditya Hrudaya of Surya, one can become the most powerful, says the Divine Mother Parvathi.

The sloka can be found here, here and here. Let us recite this Maha Mantra and get blessed!

[From the 205th episode of the Tamil series]

“We like each other very much. Will our marriage happen without any problem?” – a young man and a girl came. They appeared confident and courageous as they both were working.

I thought, “If both the parents cooperate, there wouldn’t be a problem eh?”

“The problem starts there. My parents live separately for a long time. Her Father is no more. No one comes forward to get us married.” – said the lad.

“Very well then. You both are working, both are young. Why not tell your parents and do a ‘register marriage’?”

“It’s not possible sir. Could you please ask Agastya?” – the lad asked.

I opened the Nadi.

“It’s a relation followed from their previous birth. There won’t be an issue with their marriage. There’s nothing wrong in falling in love. There isn’t any hindrance in the form of caste or religion. But postpone your marriage as much as possible. There is no use in hasty decisions. It’s very good if you re-consider your decision.” – Agastya answered like he touched the surface.

They both were disappointed as obvious.

“How long can we postpone? Did the Maharishi say?” – the girl said.

“When Agastya has mentioned something indirectly, it means that there is something. Hence, postpone the marriage at least for a year.”

The young man intervened. “It’s not possible sir! We have decided to get married, it cannot be postponed. If there is any problem, let us know of the remedial measures. We shall do it.” – he said it with a bit of aggression.

I opened the Nadi again.

“Whatever has to happen after the marriage has already happened many times between them. They just want to live together as husband and wife in front of others. When Agastya said ‘Have patience’, there are a lot of meaning. The child to be born should be healthy. Hence I said. There is no remedial measure. Then it’s up to them.” – the Maha Muni concluded.

I sensed that the young man does not believe in Nadi or astrology when I was reading the Nadi.
The girl appeared disappointed too on what He said, no remedies, just have patience for a good offspring to be born. The left. A year and a half passed by.

The same boy and girl came back with a sad face. They appeared married. I realized that there has been some serious trouble.

“Sir, please forgive us. Agastya wanted us to wait. But we did not listen. We are going through the effects.”

I remained silent.

“I love kids. There are no offsprings for many in my dynasty. It’s a rarity to get a male progeny too. I too hurried decision out of the desire of begetting a child. The child was born too but right after, my Father passed away and her Mother passed away too.”

“What happened?”

“It was a male child. I felt very happy. But the head of the baby is very big and the body is puny.
Whoever sees the child dislikes it. We have lost the happiness of the child being born.” – they cried.

“What do you want me to do now?”

“We did not listen to Agastya’s words and are going through this now. We are deeply hurt by seeing the child which has abnormal looks everyday. Sometimes we even feel like mercy-killing the baby” – the young man vented himself out.

“Agastya asked to wait to have a healthy child but we did not listen. We would like to know if we will be forgiven if our child will become normal or is this all our fate.” – the wife asked amidst tears.

I opened the Nadi.

“Agastya mentions anything subtly. If one understands and follows, they can live peacefully. What does Agastya care to change your fate? No need! When you seek Agastya, He feels like He has to guide them properly right away. But for those without faith, there is no compulsion that Agastya has to suggest. Let whatever might happen. Those who think as to what is there for Agastya to say anything, then why should they come to Agastya. They need not right? You belong to that category.

Not just that. Let me tell you a truth. There had been an affair between your father and her mother. Knowingly or not, you have become like a brother and sister. You do not know that it is for this reason that your father did not live with your mother.

Your father had many such relations with many girls and was spoilt. He has cheated many girls’ lives in the name of marriage. One of those affected girls is her mother. Now she is no more, nor your father. Only then Agastya felt I have to share this truth.” – there was a brief silence from Agastya.

“Had Agastya mentioned this earlier, we wouldn’t have married at all. Such a child would not have been born!” – lamented the girl.

“Is it that this wouldn’t have happened had we waited for a year?” – asked the man.

“Whatever happened. You liked each other and got married, got a male progeny as well. You have to surely go through the effect of karma for some time. It’s not a curse from Agastya, but fate. I suggested subtly that day only to alter the fate. None understood but.” – said Agastya and mentioned..”even today, many feel that what Agastya suggests does not happen. Not just me, they even blame my beloved son. It will take some time for this to change.” – He started mentioning seemingly unrelated. Then..

“Do not worry. There will be a doctor from abroad visiting here to treat your child. Through him will happen a surgery. The bulge in the head will come down. Though it won’t come down completely, it won’t appear abnormal. The child will be saved as well. It will take 5 to 10 years at least. If you can wait, wait.” – mentioned the all graceful Siddha!

After twelve years..

They brought the boy with them. He appeared anything but abnormal. He was intelligent and healthy. He lives in America working for a software industry in a big post. The happy parents are thanking Agastya every day.

“Our patience and faith have transformed our boy. Everything is happening good for us.” – the couple is telling this to everyone.

The GOS 190 – Agastya’s Advice

[stextbox id=”info” image=”null”]The Grace of Siddha series can be read here.[/stextbox]

The answers of Agastya Muni to the generic questions posted by devotees can be found here.

The readers are requested to send their spiritual experiences related to the Siddhas to GnanaBoomi at Gmail dot com. Though the experiences are unique and personal to them, it can shower some light or guidance to those who read them. Thanks!

[From the 204th episode of the Tamil series]

There are some who seek Nadi will have a lot of expectations. In spite of the suggested remedial measures are completed, it may take some time for the results to show up. Do not grieve. Agastya Himself has explained the reasons in many occasions. This post is a compilation of a few advises that Agastya gave:

This post has answers to questions you may have. Evaluate them as per your circumstances, follow through that Agastya has given You the answer and if you feel peace, then you can have the clarity that it is indeed an answer for you. [See how closely this matches with the core principle of Sanatana Dharma, to question everything, evaluate and decide what suits you!]

1. Agastya is a Siddha. When you seek Him, He will show you the right way. 90 out of 100 get good results. The rest, if they follow the suggestions with faith, He will sure help. Here, our duty is not just to do the remedies, but also should continue to do good, think good thoughts. Never should one lose faith. Good will definitely come your way.

2. Generally, Agastya does not give His words that easily. He tests them, “Are they seeking me with faith or is it just a selfish act”. Once the person passes this test, He helps them miraculously with His power of Tapasya. It is us who needs to be very clear in what we ask. If what we ask is a good thing, long lasting, it will definitely happen.

3. It may appear that His words have gone wrong. But at the right time, it will result with a magnified effect and come out so big. This is true.

4. “I won’t say ‘have patience’ without a reason. This is a hurrying world. People believe that they can do anything only if they throw money. It does happen in most of the cases too. When one surrenders to Agastya with complete faith, I will hold his hands and take him. I never bother about those who do not have faith. Those who believe in me should not suffer afterward. I ask Lord Brahma about their future and do things accordingly with His permission. It may take some time as per you. Brahma might not agree to all the requests. If He disapproves, I seldom say this outright to my devotees. I try again. Agastya does not have the habit of saying ‘Yes it’s possible, No it’s not’ in a blunt fashion. If I do, except one or two out of hundred, nothing will happen.

“When I say ‘have patience’, it means that Agastya is actually fighting for you. The devotees should understand this.” – says Agastya. We need to understand this correctly. Patience pays off for sure.

5. It is only after experiencing that one understands – that prayers and the guidance of wise people do improve one’s life, saves them from trouble. Agastya says that it is us who rush through.

6. Though it is a general rule that when Agastya says something, it will happen for sure. But we should also understand our responsibilities and act accordingly. If it’s one or two, the help can be given right away. But sometimes, there are 1000 individuals who come in a day. Agastya wishes to help everyone for sure. He has a number of requests himself. He has to do tapasya. He needs to carry out the tasks given by the Lord Almighty. He can’t keep taking incarnations to carry out everything. He does help everyone step by step. We must remain patient, as said by Agastya Himself many times.
