Thanjavur Sathsangam – Agastya Muni clarifies the crowd

The Agastya Answers series can be read here.

Q) What the Maharishi said about answering generic questions. Here, He  clarifies the crowd that He will answer generic questions and not to the specific queries of individuals.

AA) Through the grace of Almighty, though the Prathamai thithi has begun (where the Siddha does not provide answers generally), due to the repetitive requests by our beloved children, We got the permission from the Almighty God and are willing to reply to their generic questions. First of all, our blessings to those who are seated here, awaiting to hear the answers.

At this moment, how much ever problems one has now a days and seeks our guidance, the root cause of all these is their own karmic effects, the sins they committed. People forget this most of the time. Wherever the sin is, the pain and misery follows. Therefore, those who want to live a life without misery, to live with true peace of mind, to live without any trouble, they must then seldom commit any sin. It is difficult. If a human birth is taken, knowingly or unknowingly, one ends up committing sins. But one should not do that sinful act, sinful talk or even to keep thinking about the sin committed again and again, is a right way to get the
Almighty’s grace.

Having said this, with so many pressing issues, there are some beloved who are eagerly awaiting that they could get some remedy out of what We say, and get out of our trouble, to live peacefully. But here We say, that we will only answer for generic questions and not for the specific queries from individuals. And life goes on. If the Siddhas keep quiet, then how are we going to solve our problems, one may think. Why can’t the specific answer be given, those who believe in the Nadi may ask. We have clarified already, we shall clarify now too. Through God’s grace, the one who remains in complete surrender (Charanagathi is the actual word used, where the word surrender is not even coming closer), the one who lives completely in accordance with Dharma, remains in truthfulness (Sathya), to him, We shall remain close to and do all good to him through the grace of God.

For the one who has not realized the self, even if God appears before him, there is no use. The asuras are the best example for this. Many of the asuras have had the darshan of God. But what happened at the end, those who read the Puranas know. Hence, even if one has had the darshan of God, if he does not have the realization, Sathvic thoughts, Dharmic thoughts, one cannot rise up. One may ask, isn’t it true that the moment one has the darshan of God, wouldn’t his mind become ripen enough? The omnipresent God, if one realizes His presence, can’t he rise up? Even Me and the God Almighty think exactly the same and we get along with humans. But the humans, at all stages expect us from their own perspective than what we think of them, from our perspective. If We continue to speak philosophically, it definitely does not raise any interest in them. We are aware of that.

To say it short, if one suffers from an ailment that hasn’t got any cure even after so many treatments, We say at this moment. Let them perform a prayer to their Ishta Devata in a way they can, there is no harm in it. In particular, We say, pray to Dhanvanthri. If a person recites the mantra of Dhanvantri for a minimum of one Nazhigai just before he goes to sleep, his health will be very good. If one suffers financial trouble, let him pray to any deity, but in particular We say, pray to Mata Mahalakshmi, the better. We say that everyday, pray to Lord Vinayaka, Subhramanya, Bhairava, Navagrahas… The Supreme Lord who is omnipresent is just One.
The forms are different. Though We know this, based on every individual’s temperament and to rise them up step by step, We suggest them different methods of prayers.

To say it short still, in spite of acute difficulty, if one does not lose heart, stays focussed and faithful in the Lord, does whatever Dharmic activities he could and performs his duties correctly, for sure the fate will change and start doing good to him. Thinking of dharma, one need not have to assume that they have to spend in lakhs or crores. Let them do dharma whatever they could. Even the one who does not have anything, he could even feed an ant, right? Whatever one gives to others, indirectly means that he gives it to himself. Hence We recommend Dharmic activities in this Nadi leaves frequently.

At this moment, the children who are seated in front of Me, blessings to you all. From now on, however their karmic effects makes them raise a question, let them ask. Blessings to one and all at this moment.

Another experience of Jeeva Nadi reading at Kallar, Mettupalayam

A devotee went to seek the guidance of Sage Agastya in the Kallar Gnana Peedam. His experience is given as it is, from how he stated them originally in Tamil.

First, let us see what the Siddha Kaka Pujunda says about Shri Agastya Muni:

In English…

It is Agastya who attained the huge blessing
Oh my holy Mother! His words are pretty clear!
He clarifies the hidden meanings openly
The ears will be pleased to hear His words!
Agastya’s Podhigai Hills is but Mount Meru!
It is Agastya’s holy abode indeed!
Agastya’s identity is Podhigai Meru
Is there anyone who can match Him?
Siddha Kaka Pujundar →

I have been reading the Sitthan Arul for weeks together now and have realized that I was getting immediate answers to all my queries from the various incidents from that series. Just like how I get a reply each week, this week also, I got to know that “If it is getting delayed to reach a place without we knowing or by unavoidable circumstances, they are for good only!”

I had a grievance for a long time. For that, I have checked the Nãdi in various places and have done parihar, but I never thought that I will get an answer from Agastya’s Jeeva Nãdi! If “They” are the one who calls, then whatever happens is all because of “Their” grace. This was shown to me clearly as that of a movie by Them.

After lengthy thought process, I chose a auspicious vrata day, offloaded every other burden in the name of Lord and took the phone number of Kallar Gnana Peedam and gave it to people close to me, requesting them to talk. I can most certainly say that it is all Their grace. The first surprise was that I got a date allotted for receiving the Nãdi reading. But from that day on, whatever sins I havd committed knowingly began to daunt me, leaving me sleepless. I realized what sort of a big sinner am I, in those short span of time. There is forgiveness for sins committed unknowingly. But I had known from reading Sitthan Arul (The Grace of Siddha’s original Tamil version) that those accumulated karma’s effect will continue birth after birth. Having said these, will the Maha Muni Agastya say any word at all, for a person like me? This fear surrounded me.

I began to do Japa whenever I thought of, fed the cow with ample fruit and was doing whatever parihar I learnt. The truth is, as the day came closer, many sleepless nights added up. Even if He (Agastya Muni) scolds me, it is fine, but what if He says ‘I won’t help’?, everything will be over and done! Fear. I bewailed this to one of my friend who visits Agastya’s temple constantly. My friend might have thought – O, if only he relieves me of this torture – he use to say “do not go if you fear”. Again I use to get worried and then will summon courage to do the regular tasks!

The day of travel came!

As we could not get train tickets, we decided to go by bus. I thought I should get some sweets and snacks for the children there at the Ashram and to tell my friend before I set off. When I called him up, he asked:
“What are you taking for Agastya?”

I could not answer. Then he himself suggested to get Vastra (garment), Beetle leaves, fruits, saambrani (frankincense), rose water etc. As it was already dark, we could not get any of these and so we boarded the bus. The bus started an hour late and due to rain, it moved in the speed of a tortoise. What could be reached in 4 hours, it took 6 hours to reach Coimbatore. It is for good as the shops will be open by then! We boarded a bus that goes to Mettupalayam.

It was happier that from a shop, we got garland and other items. We inquired the cab drivers who asked for Rs. 600 to Kallar which is only about 6 kilo meters. As we stood there, an auto rickshaw came and hurried us to get in. He said ‘give me 100 rupees, but get in first’. It was about 8 in the morning. The auto rickshaw guy said that he knows the place but where he went was to Sri Ramakrishna Math. There were nobody and I thought I shall take bath right there as I remembered the post which said that there is a river that runs by. I was very eager but I couldn’t take bath since I could not spot any river. I began to doubt. Is this the place? The person accompanied me confirmed my doubt too. Then we realized that we have been mis-routed, and somehow reached Agathiyar Gnana Peedam. From a distance, the Ashram looked as if asking “Here you came, at last?” It was 5 minutes to 9. Once my companion took bath in the Ashram and then I began to read some slokhas and did some Japa. The garland we bought, as expected, covered the Sage Agastya from the neck to toe. This itself gave me a sort of peace. We are in the right direction, I realized.

The crowd was good enough. After a while, HH Mataji came out of the Dhyana Room. When she began to call out names, we said ours and she said ‘Oh O, I just called out this name and since there wasn’t any, I moved other names prior to yours”. Then she wrote our names. We were the eleventh.

Ok good. Let us do japa for a longer time, we thought. Around 11 AM, when inquiring a person who lives there, he explained how the Eka Mukhi Rudraksha came there. A spontaneous feeling of paying respect to that rose in me. Then I asked the doubt which I had in mind.

“If we have committed a sin knowingly, will Agastya Muni help?”

The answer he gave was so soothing. “Even if one has done the 5 most hideous sins (referred to as Pancha Maha Papa), Agastya has the motherly heart of forgiving, only 10 times more”.

While talking, I saw Lord Subramanya who is at a meditative posture and the moment I thought “O our Murugan, He is quiet without doing any mischievosness!” – the person whom I was talking to said “Today, the crowd is more”

“Looks like it will be dark before our reading”

“No no, the moment sun sets, Agastya Muni will say “Stop!” after which not even a line can be read!”. I became dumbstruck. By looking at the cold wind and the weather in that hill, it appeared as if the Sun might set right at 4 PM itself!

“When exactly does the sun set?”

“Anytime! Could be 4, 5 or even 6” – he said.

“So far, the reading is done only for 6!”

We c a n n o t do anything. It is His count. Humans cannot do anything. If sun sets, one has to just leave! We couldn’t get lucky, even they called out our names before! Without knowing this, we came slowly – all sorts of thought-bursts started. “O Muruga, please save me! – I began to chant the Kanda Sashti Kavacham for about 6 or 7 times, Hanuman Chalisa, Agastya Akhanda Japa – all these happened. Everyone was invited to have food. I could not go. I was greatly confused in mind. Around 2 PM, Swami Thangaraj came who appeared as the embodiment of peace. He asked “Had your food?”

“No” I replied.

“I am going for food, please do so too” – his words reflected a blissful silence!! Then Mataji took us to the dining hall and said “We will surely read Nãdi for you”. The mind was relieved a little. Then Japa, slokha and meditation continued. There were a few people and were with full of hope. One of them could not move his head. I felt a soft corner for him. Even our grievance is to be resolved, but the chances of his name to be called out was less. I went up to him and said “Do you want to go in before us?” He said “Let it be over for you first as you keep praying!!”

We all started chanting Adithya Hrudhayam by facing West, praying that everyone should be blessed with a reading. As a surprise, the sun did not set even after 6 PM!

They called us around 4.30 PM. One can have a darshan of the Eka Mukhi Rudraksha as soon as entering the room. I prostrated and sat in front of Guruji. I had written down my queries. Guruji asked my name, my
father’s name and asked if I have the questions.

“Quesions O Sir? I only have grievances.”

Thereafter what Guruji read off the Nãdi were only Answers, Reasons and Remedies! Who will have this much of mercy? Within ten minutes, Agastya Muni had become a Mother, Father, and Everyone! For that ten minutes, I totally forgot my bodily presence and felt like a leaf which afloats freely in air. It was as if a mother’s lullaby to her child in a cradle. He made me realize that all the suffering is only for the physical body! As and when he narrated my previous births, I forgot this present Janma (birth). The grievances was not grievances anymore! Even then He came as a rain-cloud of mercy. It felt as if the words that came out were more than enough, with which one can cross the ocean of birth.

Mataji writes down the reading in a notebook clearly and explains to us. Then they hand over the notebook to us. Even if the questions are same, two people cannot enter at the same time as the Nãdi will be read for one at a time. This is Agastya’s order. Then when explaining the reading, the others can be present. THEY DO NOT EXPECT ANY MONEY FOR THIS! But since they feed everyone who comes and does services, it is good to give around 500 Indian rupees. It is up to individuals to offer more, adding up good karma. Their request is that when there is a Guru Puja where a Yagna is conducted, one should be present and get the grace of Siddhas – this is the blessings of elders there.

Om Agatheesaya Namaha!

Note from GnanaBoomi Admin:

A number of people who came for the Nãdi reading said that they were asked to provide whatever they can, for the Yagna that takes place in December. This became a topic of discussion and eventually it turned to a comparison between what they experienced in Thanjavur with Shri Ganesan’s reading and here at Kallar. One of them said that the letters appear in Gold there with Late Shri Hanumathdasan and now with Shri Ganesan. The Mataji had told me that the letters scroll as and when read here.

Another person said, ‘Last time when I got the reading in Thanjavur, Gurunathar (Agastya Muni) had mentioned a few parihaar to be done and quoted that it is because of past karmic effects etc. I did complete them all but when I listened to Him here today, there wasn’t any mention about the past effects. I think that the parihaar what I did has taken care of it.

We could feel that the question of ‘Why does this information about Yagna is said to everyone and they are requested to do whatever they could for the ritual? Why this does not happen anywhere? The Sage does not compel anyone to donate money or even to perform the remedial measures He suggests! He just guides and leaves the decision to oneself. He has mentioned this in many a questions that the answers one get may differ at times, which depeneds on the individual’s fate, the time and his karmic effects. It is out of His mercy that the Agastya Muni goes out of the way to help people. It is the individual’s wish to donate anything they want or to do anything He suggests.

However, we took this question to none other than Mr. Karthikeyan, who writes the Sitthan Arul. His explanation made it very clear.

Why does everyone get a note about the Yagna that happens in December?
→ It is the Sage Agastya who mentions this to everyone to attend the yagna, where the Siddha-Purushas will be present in an invisible form and will bless those who attend and those who helped in whatever
means they could. This is told to everyone to get Their blessings! The Yagna is being conducted as per the instruction from Agastya Muni Himself!

Why doesn’t the letter appear in Gold as in other places? When they read it here at Kallar, the Guruji reads one palm leaf, flips and opens the second, and so on, where a video showing Shri Ganesan’s reading shows him reading it from a single leaf itself.
→ How the letter appears, how they read etc is not important. What is important is that it is Agastya Muni who answers. In case of late Shri Hanumathdasan, he sometimes closes the Nãdi, closes his eyes and
starts saying the clairvoyances! One has to focus on what the message is for them than how it is read.

What Siddha Agastya says is:

“With the thoughts turning inward, from a human perspective, even upon meeting a person who is holy, one should understand this clearly. Even if undergone many a spiritual experiences, this person is still entangled in Maya. Even he may have some bad karmic effects out of which, sometimes he may say a good reason, sometimes incorrect ones. So, every human, meeting a Gnani is not wrong, but if done so, one should think on his own and come to a conclusion. This is what We say at this juncture.”

And experience shows that the one who believes and surrenders to Agastya Muni, He never forsakes them, and never lets them go wrong!

The Grace of Siddha – Episode 17 – you are responsible for your fate

[stextbox id=”info”  image=”null”]The Grace of Siddha series can be read here.[/stextbox]

These are not stories. They are real incidents. Read through these and do reflect if anywhere, anything in these series is resonating with your own self. Do you feel any of these telling anything to you? Do you feel yourself that any of the phrase is a reflection of yours? Is there an answer to you in these?!

“Just ask Agasthiya Muni if we are blessed to have a child” came a frustrated middle aged couple. It appeared whoever says anything, they just believed them and had spent a lot of money on doing remedial measures (Parikaram) with no effect.

The male was 52 years old and the lady was around 43. As per the medical norms, the lady wasn’t fit enough to beget a child. But still, they waited with faith due to their longing for a child.

“I checked Agasthiya’s Ganda Nãdi. He asked us to do a few parikarams which we did, but there wasn’t any effect” they complained. I listened to these patiently and I felt a little grief when they complained about that Nãdi. I consoled myself as the Nãdi they mentioned was Ganda Nãdi and not Jeeva Nãdi.

Then I began to read Nãdi for them.

One’s parents were involved in killing the fetus, the other one’s parents separated a monther and child, didn’t let couples to be together, destroyed ant-hills* to construct house were the reason. This eventually became a brahma-hathi dosha which affects the third generation” – said the Sage. [* it is a practice to worship the ant-hills as the home of Naga Devatha]

Fate is nothing but this!

Right after I read this, their first question was this: “if it affects the third generation, then how come all my siblings are happy with their off-springs?  Why should it affect only us? We cannot believe this” – they both said at once.

“If you do not believe, just leave it” – said I.

“Ok, what indeed is the remedy for this, can you say?”

When I began to read about going to Rameshwaram for doing Thila-Tharpanam as a parikaram for the brahma-hathi dosha, they said they already had done that before even I completed.

Though they did the parikaram with the proper rules, there were a few mantras which was not uttered in the way it is to be, so the dosha still remains” – said Agastya Muni.

“In that case, should we go to Rameshwaram again?” – they asked hopelessly.

That is up to you. We would not intervene in these” – said the Sage.

“Is there anything else to do as parikaram or prayers?”

Later, pray to Naga Devatha for forty five days and install (do Pradishtai) it in your Kula-Devatha’s temple”.

“We did that as well, in SriKalaHasti”

“About 12 years back”

They said they made a Naga in silver and did a homa in SriKalaHasti and had put that in the temple hundi.

As they were answering even before any reply that came out of Nãdi, there wasn’t any responses from the Sage for a few hours. Generally, He clarifies me well in advance when I read Nãdi. As it were Deva-Rahasya, I do not disclose it to others. Others may think that it was purposefully hidden, but it is not the truth. If warranted, He discloses them in advance too. Had they come to test the Sage, the replies will come only accordingly.

As the couple kept stressing that even after doing all the parikarams, they weren’t blessed with a child, the Sage said “wait and see, we shall explain it later“.

If He says that they do have such a blessing, they may feel a lot relieved, I felt agonized. Why did the Sage asked to wait for a few hours, my mind began its haywire journey.

A few hours went by.

They do have a blessing for a child” – said the Sage in one word.

“When?” – for this the Sage asked them to come after forty days. I felt that still they didn’t feel the complete faith in Agastya Nãdi.

Forty five days passed by.

As foretold, just the husband came back. I didn’t ask why the wife didn’t accompany and I opened the Nãdi.

Even as per your fate, there isn’t a blessing for a child. But all the prayers you had mentally and the remedies you performed, have altered your fate and hence, there will be a change in the physical body. Only with that miracle, it is possible to get conceived at any age. I could have said that forty five days ago, you may feel why I didn’t.

At first, the parikarams were not done with total faith. It was the first mistake to do these parikarams half-heartedly as to why should we do these for such a thing. Second, remedies done in a hurry, done with calculating the money and they were not done completely either. Third, the person who did these parikarams did not utter those mantras properly. Fourth, all the remedies you performed had some impurities mixed, which you may not know. This is why the Puthra-Bhagyam is keep getting postponed, which could have happened very long back”

“Your Mother, who prayed to God for years together, observed many a vigil for you to be blessed with a child, the Mother who passed away an year and a half back, she, is going to appear in your wife’s womb. But for the lady who prayed only for you, kept vigils, neither you or your wife speak to her in kind, loving words, you had always spoken harshly to her. You had wounded her by your words. As a gratitude, name your daughter with your Mother’s. Also, observe the thithi of your Mother in a grand manner. If you do these wholeheartedly, this child will stay” – concluded the Sage.

He was listening to all these with tears brimming. Many a months passed by.

Just as the Sage mentioned, the lady gave birth to a daughter, which surprised the doctors themselves. As per the Sage’s clairvoyance, he named his daughter after his Mother’s, who was born on the same star as that of the Mother. That daughter is now healthily growing up in a prime place in Chennai.

The Grace of Siddha – Episode 15 – back to Chennai

[stextbox id=”info”  image=”null”]The Grace of Siddha series can be read here.[/stextbox]

So far – We got relieved from the Naxal group and started our journey back. While I was on the police van reading the Nadi to one of the officers, we heard a loud scream from the millionaire’s car from a girl.

As we were driving a little closer, we could hear the scream and so the vehicles were stopped. I got down to know why. One of the daughters of the millionaire had let out that scream from an unbearable stomach pain. The pain grew every minute and so was her shrieks. The others were trying to console here when we inquired if there are any hospitals nearby. The policemen said that we had to go another 20 miles for a hospital.

We were worried whether this girl will be able to bear the pain till then. No one could understand the reason for a girl who was totally alright to have pain all of a sudden. I called her Dad privately and mentioned what I was told in the Nadi and told that the hidden palm leaves be taken out at once.

At first, the dad was angry “What? Did she do such an act?” but conveyed the information swiftly to the girl. The girl said “Please forgive me. I desired that let one of the Agastya Jeeva Nadi be with me and so I stole it from you. Only after I did so, I began to get this pain” – she cried and took out the Nadi and extended towards me. Within five minutes of she doing so, the stomach ache started subduing.

I thanked Agastya Muni and since there wasn’t any use with the palm leaves, I left them there. The girl got some rest as the vehicles paused for this. The railway station though was visible from where we were, with the dim light, it occurred to me that it may take up to twenty miles. So I bid farewell to the millionaire right there and started with the policemen. It was 12 in the night when I reached the station.

There weren’t anyone in the station other than a couple of beggars. The person in the ticket counter handed over the ticket to me in a half-asleep state and said that the Chennai train will come at 1.00 AM.

I am not sure if this is a connection from the previous birth, the policeman from Tamil Nadu and his close friend sat along with me in the platform for company. I desired to sip some hot tea but there was only a beetle-nut shop. As there weren’t much who alighted and descended from that station, I was made aware that none of the trains stops here for more than two minutes. Apart from Badrachala temple festivals where a few trains from nearby town stops at this station.

If we think why this station was built at all, it may seem as if it was built for the sole purpose of other passenger trains to stop by letting the express trains to pass. As a couple of express trains comes here in the midnight, I thought of catching hold of one to reach Chennai.

Due to the heavy rain and flood that embraced Godavari, my body started shivering out of bitter cold. I felt inconvenient as well as relieved on seeing the policemen waiting on me. We were chatting about stories from Tamil Nadu, its politics, the general happenings, cinema etc, about four people wearing half-trousers came in to the station rushing, all bearing wooden sticks.

Before we could assimilate what’s happening, the railway ticket counter was closed and the already-dim light was switched off, leaving just the moonlight to shine subtly. They started walking here and there from a place and it appeared that something is about to happen.

But I didn’t worry as I thought “Sage Agastya is with me, why worry?”

They came near us and upon seeing the policemen on uniforms, they ran away like crazy. The alerted policemen started chasing them and a fierceful hide-and-seek game happened there.

15 minutes passed by.

The two of the policemen caught hold of just one person in that group, tied his hands on his back and dragged him. It was just at that time that the express train to Chennai came too.

“Who is he?”

“He belongs to the Naxalites group. The other three has escaped. As he fell down, we could catch him” – they bid farewell to me as they proceeded to take him to the police van standing outside.

With no space left even to board the train, I got the scoldings of people seated even in the foot steps of the train and somehow got inside. I could see only heads everywhere, with no space even to stand.

I haven’t reserved any ticket, so I got in to the compartment for the unreserved. A ticket checker came from nowhere and said “come here” in Telugu to me. I peeped via the window and asked ‘Are you telling me?’ with a little anxiety.

“Yes, there is an empty berth in the nearby compartment for the reserved. Do you want to come?”

I agreed happily, got in to that compartment and leaned on the berth and gave the checker some money for what is required.

“Give only what is required for the reserved berth” – he gave back the extra money I had given. I thought ‘such good people exist even today’. Though I had got a comfortable berth, I couldn’t sleep and so was the TTR. I began to talk to him slowly where the topic touched upon the Naxalites. It seemed the TTR is a knowledgeable man in many a things. From what he said…

“Don’t you know? One of the naxals who came to loot was caught by the police. It seems they came to loot in the ticket counter, but got caught. They said his name is Nagi Reddy(!) and it seems he is a big shot”

“What, Nagi Reddy?” – I was surprised.

“Why, do you know anything about him?”

“No” I said immediately.

I thought it could be the missing brother of that policeman. Later the Maha Muni confirmed it to be true as well. I was totally surprised.
